A deity in the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon, Green Tara is thought to embody the female wisdom activity of the mind and is represented in many peaceful and wrathful emanation forms. In this particular representation, although small in dimension the iconography has been kept accurate and proportional.   Intricate detailing in the weaving of her brocades and adornments, the elements of the landscape and the offerings in the foreground as well as the balance of colours, gives a very graceful and peaceful feel to this tapestry.
